Andrée Bazot of Paris Modernist mid-century royal blue & violet enamel earrings

Oval royal blue earrings of glossy enamel fused over copper, each with small light blue fused glass cabochons and a large central raised violet fused glass "cookie" cabochon on top. A thin outline of gold enamel follows around the edge of the earrings. Created by Andrée Bazot, a French artist, she was one of the most gifted Parisian enamelists who created her unique enamel designs in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

Typical French clip earring backs. Signed with her distinctive script "B" on the counter enameled back of each earring. If you love enamel work, then Bazot's free form mid-century jewelry should be of great interest to you.
