From the age of elegance, we present a small boxed set from Tiffany containing two glass bottles with sterling tops. This may have been for perfume, but judging from the masculine black leather case, it was probably a gentleman's travel set of cologne and talc.
The square bottles have screw on lids which are hallmarked Tiffany & Co. and are monogrammed on the top with the initials FAO which are also inscribed on the top of the case. The bottles fit snugly in the fitted case and the top seats nicely on the box.
The box measures 4 1/2" x 3" x 1 5/8". The bottles are 3 7/8" high and have a 1 1/4" square base. The only damage is a flea bite chip on one bottle (see photo), which is hard to see without a loupe, and some wear of the leather.
This would make an unusual addition to a Tiffany and/or perfume collection.
