Sterling Top Crystal Inkwell Art Nouveau Design La Pierre
A ca. 1900 crystal inkwell with faceted edges and a cut checkered bottom. The sterling collar and hinged lid is hallmarked and was made by La Pierre Mfg. Co out of New York and Newark. The puffy Art Nouveau top has five sides and repousse flowers and swirls around the edges. The raised center is plain and could be monogrammed.
Condition of the glass is excellent- no chips or scratches. The thick silver top has a couple of small dents. The hinge works well and the inkwell closes tightly. It measures 3" high and the base is 2" square.
