Sena Sterling Siamese Repousse Deva Boat Dish

M. Senna was one of the most prolific of Siam's great silversmiths. He produced jewelry, flatware, and hollow ware and was a master of the Niello technique. This beautifully wrought boat shaped dish has a Thai god (Deva) at the prow and back of the boat and the sides are covered with swirls and foliage against a textured/hammered background. The repousse and hand chased work is of high quality.

Measurements are 5 5/8" (14.3 cm) long x 3 1/4" (8.3 cm) wide x 2 1/4" (5.7 cm) high. Weight is 93.3 grams. Condition is excellent, just a little light scratching/wear on the bottom.
