An unmarked Chinese Export vase from the mid to late 1800s. Hand enameled in bright colors in the Famille Rose palette. The white porcelain surface is covered with a variety of floral and fruit patterns, including big pink roses and peonies, and colorful birds. The edge of the scalloped rim and the foot have a line of Chinese red paint. A terrific feature is two gilded dragons in relief chasing a pearl around the neck of the vase.
The vase is 8" (20.3cm) high and is 2 1/2"(6.4cm) diameter, top and base. There is some wear of the gold on the dragons and one glaze flake on the body- on a blue flower.
