Nice Primitive Knife Carrying Tray or Knife Box

I picked up some nice items at a very good estate auction in the Monson Mass area this last weekend and will be trying to get all listed properly into my shop. This is a very nice collectable and popular item with a great Civil War era look and in very usable condition as well. It measures 13 1/4" wide at handle x 9 1/2" and sits about 4 3/4" tall and I believe it is walnut or maple for it feels to be hardwood and i think many were made of walnut. I tried to picture it well to both show it off a bit and answer some questions. I also tried to buy smart so I can offer items at good value to encourage some quick sales.
