I just went to a very good military auction in the Greenfield/Northfield Mass area and scored some interesting items for prices that I should be able to offer them in my shop for good value to my customers. This is in decent condition and would look good in any late 1800's-WWI collection. I believe it is French but I can not remember exactly and figured I would offer it un researched with a modest mark up. It has a perfect aged look going and the blade is in god condition and not all pitted and nicked like some I have run across in the past. the only marking I could find is the "S" I have pictured, I'm not sure if that is for Solingen and it is German. It measures 27" long overall and the blade is 1 1/4" wide at widest and is 22 1/2" of the 27" . This could be a very interesting addition to that WWI collection. I'm hoping for some quick sales so I can go out and find more good stuff for the shop because there truly is a lot to be offered these days here in Southern New England. Thanks for your time and interest.
