Early 19th C. Regency Sewing Table, Silk Fitted Basket

Presented for sale is a stunning early 19th century Regency mahogany sewing table supported on a lyre shaped base. The table is fitted with a custom yellow silk sewing basket and side compartments, which was refurbished in the 20th century. The basket is attached to a pull-out slide.

The sewing table has a single top drawer flanked by demilune implement drawers. It is supported on a lyre shaped base connected with a spool turned stretcher, the legs terminating in brass animal paw feet.

The table is in excellent age appropriate condition with minor nicks due to use and time, and reinforcement to some of the leg joints.
