19th C. Ashworth Ironstone Masons Style Imari Pattern Tazza

Presented for sale is a handsome mid to late 19th century Ironstone Imari pattern Tazza made by G. L. Ashworth & Brothers, Ltd. The tazza is decorated in a forest green border with an iron red banner and decorative medallions. The center features a vase filled with florals.

The Ashworth brothers purchased the original Mason Ironstone designs and molds and produced ironstone extensively using the Mason printed marks.

The Tazza is in excellent condition, the rich enamels make for a superior cabinet showcase piece. There is a minute amount of age related gilt and enamel wear.
