Turn Teplitz Bohemian Pottery Figure Of Enchantress
Presented for sale is a beautiful early 20th century pottery sculpture made by one of the Turn Teplitz factories, attributed to Stellmacher or Wahliss. The figure depicts an enchantress or wood nymph with flowing hair wrapped only in a cloth draped with floral garlands and a cockatoo perched on her head. The figure is customarily enameled in hints of pink and celadon on a neutral base typical of wares from the region and period.
The figure is in very good condition with the exception of one arm that has been broken and professionally restored. The detail is very finely chiseled, a testament to the genius of the Bohemian turn of the century pieces.
Size: 17 ¼" Height.
