French Second Empire Gilded Gueridon Or Side Table With Inset Marble Top

Offered for sale is a French Second Empire gilded Gueridon or side table with Breche d'lep marble inset top supported on four legs. The table features a highly carved frieze with molded edge supported on four fluted legs terminating in toupee feet. The legs are connected with X-crossed turned stretchers which are centered with a finial.

The table is in excellent age appropriate condition and would make a fine piece to place anywhere in a room, beautiful from all angles, the gilding aged to a warm lustre.

Size: 27 ½" Height by 22" Diameter.
