19th C. Blue Faience Villeroy & Boch Snake Handled Vase With Cover
A magnificent late 19th century blue faience hand-painted vase made in Germany by Villeroy & Boch featuring a domed cover and baluster shaped vase on pedestal. The vase is embellished with full-figured serpent handles and face masks. The front features a cartouche painted in a pastoral setting, the back features a large coat of arms flanked by cherubs.
The vase is in excellent condition with a slight age related crazing to the glaze, a magnificent piece beautifully decorated and perfect to showcase a shelf, pedestal, or chest.
