Late 19th C. Identical Pair of Louis XV Scrolled Bronze Sconces
Presenting an outstanding pair of late 19th century identical bronze sconces in the Louis XV style, with superb cast detail. The wreathed backplate attaches to an acanthus foliate scrolled panel holding three convoluted arm branches. The arms terminate in ribbed acanthus edged bobesches topped with tulip shaped nozzles.
The sconces have a wonderful patina that has aged evenly and presents as time aged old world bronze. The sconces have been rewired and are ready to wall mount.
