A beautiful pair of late 19th century hand painted bisque courting figures with raised enamel decoration. The figures depict a young man and woman courting over a fence. Their features and costumes are painted in fine detail.
Haas & Czjzek was the first operating porcelain factory in Bohemia and was established by Johann Georg Paulus, Johann Poschl, and Johann Reumann in 1792. The factory was quite profitable and won many prestigious awards for their beautiful porcelains. The company is still in operations today.
