19th C. Louis XV Dore Bronze Two Tier 24 Light Chandelier
The column is fitted with two tiers of convoluted acanthus shaped arms, which are fitted with candles. There are a total of 24 lights, 12 per tier. The base holds a large cup-shaped bowl which ends in a floral finial. The chandelier was originally made for candles but was converted into electricity early in the 20th century. Our lighting restorer has rewired each light, fitted the nozzles with new candle sleeves, and modernized the wiring.
This is a dazzling chandelier viewed from below as well as any angle. It is one of a kind and the detailed casting is magnificent. It is quite heavy and delicate; crating will be a must for shipment.
Size: 31” Height by 30” Diameter (Chandelier only, not including chain and canopy)
Size: 53” Height (including chain and canopy; chain height can be adjusted).
