A realistic piece of porcelain sculpture depicting a bird on a perch from the French porcelain firm of Bourdois & Achille Bloch.
Bloch's firm created lavish Rococo style pieces that were sculpted and hand painted by his talented artists. For many years, Bloch's factory was associated with Porcelain de Paris, a firm celebrated for its artistic excellence. They created pieces in pure white porcelain bodies, which were decorated in exquisite detail in the style of Meissen, KPM, and Sevres. The bird is in excellent condition, circa early 20th century. The birds made by this company are some of the most exceptional avian figurines we've ever encountered, and we're consistently amazed by their quality.
