A fabulous early 20th century French 7-light chandelier lantern with a bronze frame finished with a large molded opalescent glass globe. The corona holds a central column terminating in a single light with an opalescent flame shaped shade. Four arms extend down from the top of the corona and attach to a wide pierced bronze band. The band is lined with glass and holds four lighted candles, which terminate in ram's head mounts.
Attached to the lower band is a large molded opalescent glass globe that contains two lights. The lantern is magnificent when lit and viewed from below. The chased bronze frame and mounts are very finely worked.
The chandelier has been rewired by our lighting restorer in accordance with US electrical standards and refitted with new candle sleeves. It is ready to hang and is in excellent condition with a subtle aged patina to the beautiful bronze mounts and frame; a truly unique piece.
