Royal Crown Derby Dinner Plate, Kings Pattern

An English Royal Crown Derby dinner plate, date 1877-1890 in their ever popular Kings pattern. The plate is decorated in rich underglaze cobalt blues and vivid iron red enamels highlighted in gilt. This endearing pattern is one of Derby’s most sought after designs, the underglaze cobalt blues and iron-ore red enamels have a timeless appeal that have kept collectors scurrying after these wares for almost two centuries. It is getting more and more difficult to find even one 19th century piece of the Kings pattern, this plate is in excellent condition with a minute amount of gilt or enamel wear.
