Early 19th C. Miniature Watercolor Painting On Ivory After Francois Boucher
An elegant early 19th century miniature watercolor painting on ivory after a Francois Boucher scene painted in fine detail by a German artist. The painting is signed Boucher and is mounted in a rectangular ebony frame inset with a brass fillet and glass cover.
The painting is finally detailed and very well executed. These miniature paintings were very popular in the 18th and 19th centuries as tabletop mementos to commemorate famous paintings. It is in excellent condition.
