Pair of French Rococo Louis XV Patinated Dore Bronze Candelabras
An exceptional pair of mid 19th century French Rococo Louis XV patinated dore bronze candelabras with five branches supported by putti. The candelabras are raised on a heavily scrolled bronze bases fitted over marble pedestals. The putti are patinated in a soft brown which contrast beautifully with the white marble and gilded ormolu.
The candelabras are very elegant and superbly cast with fine crisp detail. They are both in excellent condition with minor age related wear present to the gilding and putti. The bobeche to the top candle nozzle is missing for each candelabra, however it is possible that they never had them. They are quite heavy and will require separate boxes for shipment.
