Pair of Matching 19th C. Edwardian Satinwood Inlaid Display Cabinets
Exceptional matched pair of late 19th century inlaid satinwood and mahogany Edwardian display cabinets. Each cabinet features a recessed vitrine hung with double glazed locking doors. They are fitted with interior wood shelves that are faced with string inlay. The top vitrine surmounts a cabinet with two full-length locking drawers, which is supported on delicate tapering legs ending in circular brass feet.
Both cabinets are superbly inlaid with fans, bellflowers, acanthus scrolls, and stringing. The sides showcase the gorgeous ribbon effect of the satinwood bookmatched veneers.
These elegant petite display cabinets are in excellent condition with age related wear and restoration to a small portion of the inlay. The locking mechanisms are working and there is one key.
Size: 71" Height x 28" Width x by 22" Depth.
