Royal Vienna Style Hand Painted Cabinet Plate
Offered for sale is an outstanding early 20th century Royal Vienna style cabinet plate with raised gilt decoration and portrait medallions on a jewel colored background. The plate features a hand painted scene depicting the classical story of "Venus, Cupid, and Ganymede". The plate is signed by the artist in the lower right corner, Kroellez or Knoellez, after the original painting done by Swiss artist Angelica Kaufmann.
The plate is in excellent condition with minor gilt wear.
