19th C. Louis XV Needlepoint Fauteuil or Armchair

Offered for sale is a late 19th century Louis XV style Fauteuil or armchair covered in needlepoint/petit point textile on a carved frame. The needlepoint depicts a pair of ladies garbed in peasant dress surrounded by a foliate border on the back, a large floral bouquet is situated on a generously proportioned chair seat.

The textile is in very good age appropriate condition with minor wear, the frayed armrests and back padding have been replaced.

Size: 36" Height x 27" Width x 21" Depth.
