Presented for sale is a magnificent 18th century, circa 1760, French Provincial Walnut Commode from the Vierzon-Cher Province of France. The commode sports a classical serpentine shape with pronounced break to the center drawer.
The carcass contains three top drawers over two full-length lower drawers. It is constructed of light walnut woods and boasts a heavily carved-out valance with scrolled legs and paneled sides. It features hand doweled mortise and tenon construction and retains its original finish and pulls. It is in excellent condition with minor restoration to a back leg support.
