Pair of 19th C. Bronze Busts by Ruffino Ruff. Besserdich
Presented for sale a superb pair of 19th century classical patinated bronze busts raised on pedestals mounted on a plinth base. The busts depict the cherubic figures Psyche and Amor, by Ruffino, Ruff. Besserdich. He was an Austrian sculptor of considerable talent, working mainly in the 19th century.
The busts are simply quite breathtaking with finely cast detail and immense charm. They come from a fine Estate and are in excellent age related condition.
