Neo-Rococo Rockingham Vases Fitted As Lamps

Presenting for sale is a pair of early 19th century Neo-Rococo Rockingham vases fitted as lamps with matching bases. The vases feature floral reserves on one side and topographical scenes on the other. They are decorated in a puce background with an abundance of salmon-colored raised scrolls highlighted in gilt. The handles exhibit an unusually frilly edge that continue around the neck of the vases.

The Rockingham potters enjoyed an internationally acclaimed reputation and were known for their exuberant Rococo style and vivid enamels.

They are both in excellent condition with minor age lines present on the handles. Both vases have been accentuated with a silk designer shade.
