Nautical Theme Royal Rudolstadt Porcelain Bolted Ewer

A sensational three-part bolted porcelain ewer, featuring a nautical theme, made in Germany by the Royal Rudolstadt Factory. The bas-relief figures are composed of satyrs, a tentacled sea horse, mermaids, dolphins, and cherubs, which are presented in a never ending procession of three dimensional figures throughout this magnificent piece.

The background colors are painted in soft pastels allowing the brighter colored figures to "pop out." It is a stunning piece of very heavy high-quality porcelain in excellent condition with minor restoration to the upper arm of one cherub. The ewer is sensational viewed from all angles and can be displayed in the center of a table.
