An elegant 4-volume (complete) set of leather bound books. Critical and Historical Essays by Lord Macaulay, Contributed to the Edinburgh Review, published by Longmans, Green, and Co., 1885, London.
The bindings are three-quarter leather and marbleized board, the spine has 6 raised panels, 4 with embossed gilt tracery, 2 with titles. The page block is marbleized to match the cover. Owner's bookplate affixed to front pastedown.
The books are in Very Good condition with very minor wear related to age and minimal to no foxing on pages.
