19th C. Miniature Watercolor Portrait of Catherine The Great

Presented for sale is a lovely miniature watercolor portrait hand painted of Catherine the Great. She is housed in a French ormolu frame crested with an Imperial Eagle. The frame is not original to the portrait, and it does not exactly fit into the frame. The frame is finely cast circa early 19th century, the portrait is illegibly signed by the artist.

Both the frame and portrait are in very good condition.

Size of Frame: 5 ¼" Height by 3 ¾" Width

Size of Image: 2" Diameter.
