19th Century Walnut Tilt Top Table Square Shape
Offered for sale is a handsome 19th century square top Chippendale style tilt-top table in walnut woods. The table is supported on a vase and ring turned upright, which is raised on tripod legs ending in snake pad feet. The rim of the table top is carved in egg and dart molding.
The unusual square shape of this tilt-top is much harder to find than the round or oval tables, which people tended to prefer. The grain on the top is feathered and quite stunning with the original finish intact.
The table is in excellent age related condition with no breaks to the legs.
Size: 29 1/2" Width, 28" Height.
