Presented for sale is a fine Irish Georgian piecrust tilt-top Tea Table in mahogany woods, circa 1780 – 1810. The table is constructed of dense mahogany, which retains its original richly-grained finish. The vase and ring acanthus-carved upright is raised on three tripod legs ending in well-defined ball and claw feet. The piecrust tabletop exhibits a well-formed notched serpentine edge, which is secured by a heavy brass closure on the underside.
The table is in excellent age related condition, very solid and sturdy with no breaks to the legs.
Size: 26 ¾" Height by 36 ½" Diameter.
