Early 20th C. Walnut Cabinet w Painted Medallions And Interior
Offered for sale is an early 20th century petite walnut two-door cabinet painted in pastoral medallions. The shaped top overhangs a single drawer over two doors. The cabinet is decorated in hand painted florals and pastoral vignettes; each door is inset with a painted medallion. The cabinet is supported on a valanced base raised on flared legs. The interior is charmingly enameled in shaded teal greens; the reverse side of each door is stepped up with floral sprigs.
The cabinet is in excellent condition with just the right amount of a "worn look" to give it that desirable patina everyone seems to be after. The size is wonderful for a small entrance hall or vestibule.
