French Empire Bronze Mounted Fauteuil en Gondole Chair

Presented for sale is a circa 1820 French Empire bronze-mounted Fauteuil en Gondole or armchair featuring a mahogany carved frame with down-swept arms terminating in finely carved dolphin heads. The chair is raised on sabre legs and has been recently upholstered, which can be used as is.

The chair is in very good condition, structurally sound, of a smaller scale typical of 19th century pieces, with a professional restoration to one of the back legs.

Size: 33" Height by 23" Width by 17" Depth.
