Palekh Troyka Compsition Lacquer Box By Bakhirev Arcadiy Ser Geevich

Presenting for sale a Russian Lacquer Box constructed of Papier Mache covered by a black lacquer exterior with crimson interior. This is a traditional Palekh Troyka composition, painted by well known artist Bakhirev Arcadiy Ser Geevich (1927-1999.)

The box is beautifully illustrated with a Russian fairytale, a hinged lid, and a gold beaded edge to the bottom. It is signed and dated.

The box is in very good condition with minor wear present.

Size: 8" Length by 4 ½" Width by 1 ¾" Height.
