Late 19th C. Fischer & Mieg Pirkenhammer Imari Pattern Vase

Presented for sale is a lovely gourd shaped Bohemia porcelain vase made by Fischer & Mieg, Pirkenhammer Manufactory, in the "Imari" style. The vase is painted in deep underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze iron red enamels, embellished with gilt.

Johann Gottlob List and Friedrich Hocke founded the Bohemian porcelain factory of Fischer & Mieg in 1803 in Pirkenhammer, Bohemia, Austria. The company, which was known as Freidrich Hoche, was eventually sold to Fischer & Mieg in 1859. It enjoyed a reputation as one of the best porcelain manufacturers in Bohemia. Its products were prized for their translucent porcelain body, high quality glazes, and artistic designs.

The vase is in excellent condition with gilt loss consistent with handling the vase near the rim and neck. This vase matches plates we have listed, item number BG111102. Displayed together they would make a lovely garniture.

Size: 7" Height.
