15ct Victorian garnet brooch - Circa 1900

A pretty little Victorian brooch dating to around 1900. It isn't hallmarked but tests as 15ct yellow gold. The brooch has a lovely curvy knot design with little ropework additions to it. Beneath the main body of the brooch are three drops. The two outer drops are hollow 'bombs'.

The centre drop is bezel set with an oval garnet. The garnet is a beautiful colour and really sets off the brooch. Unfortunately the garnet has picked up a chip in the centre of the table. This could always be changed if you so desire.

The brooch measures 21mm from top to the bottom and 20mm wide. It weighs 1.7gms. A really nice little costume brooch.
