What a wonderful brooch this is! It was produced by Adolph Katz in the 30's and there were several colors made, including pink, brown, and lilac. It's a book piece and can be viewed in Ann Pittman's book, "Inside The Jewelry Box".
Overall the item is in very good condition. It measures 3 and 1/2 inches in length and 2 inches across the wingspan. The enameling is great (see photos), other than a few tiny nicks here and there. The rhinestones are present and appear to be in good condition as well. The base metal on the back does show some wear, and the signature on it reads, "Coro" (in script), along with "Des. Pat. Pend". The pin assembly is tight and functional.
It's a lovely early piece, very dimensional, and ready to be worn.
