The manufacturing of Alice Caviness jewelry dates back to 1946 and they are well known for their unusual combination of stones and colors. Alice pieces are elusive and are becoming more difficult to find. This demi, (clamper and earrings), consists of white with gold veining art glass, white seed beads, and gold tone filigree findings all hand wired onto a gold tone frame. There are no missing pieces, the wires are all intact and without corrosion, and all three items are fully functional. It is noted that both earrings hold the Alice Caviness signature while the clamper does not. This is clearly a set and not unusual for the period.
The clamper measures two and one-half inches in diameter and the tallest point of the central motif is one and one-half inch. There is minimal wear to the gold plating. The earrings are clip-on and the clips are tight and snappy. Each earring holds the prominent signature of "Alice Caviness". Again, all parts are hand wired onto the earring frame.
This is a very sophisticated set, very clean, and certainly an eye-catcher
