I cannot say enough about this Weiss demi parure!! The unusual things about this set are the two-tone colors (resembles givre'), and the decorative prongs. The color is spectacular and consists of seven fully faceted, "dogwood-rose" colored stones that surround a larger central stone, which is itself surrounded by seven "hot magenta" (when did colors become so complicated??), chatons. All stones are open-back and prong set with the central stone using heart-shaped decorative prongs.These prongs are very distinct and offer a unique and very feminine look to each piece. The open-back and faceted stone setting allows for the maximum light reflection which was difficult to capture in the photos. There does not appear to be any wear to the gold tone plating.

The earrings measure approx. 3/4 inch in diameter and like the brooch they are open-back and held in place with the decorative prongs. The clips are tight, ready to wear and are signed Weiss. The matching brooch is not signed but this was common back in the 50's.

The brooch/pin measures approx. 2 inches in diameter. All stones are present with minimal surface wear. The locking mechanism is secure and functional. It's certainly possible that with a lovely vintage gold chain it could be worn as a pendant.

I have seen many Weiss brooches over the years and this is one of the most stunning I have had in my possession.
