Vintage 1970s Alligator Skin Purse with Metal Shoulder Chain Disco Argentinian

This is a beautiful quality vintage purse made of alligator skin.

The label on this purse that is affixed to the bottom interior of the purse reads "Caiman Industria Argentina E 24910". The lining of the purse is also stamped with a number - 1031. The purse is made in an attractive style with a ball and flap closure on top of a rounded frame. The interior has a pocket built onto either side and a change purse. It has two carrying chains that measure 15" in height - they detach and I assume can be linked to add height.

The purse is made in a shape favored during the Disco era - easy to carry for an evening out of dancing. It measures 10" by 4 1/4" across the bottom and has a height of 7 1/4" to the top of the closure. It is in very good condition with the exception of a surface crack to the skin on the left hand front upper edge (visible in the photos). I assume that a leather specialist would be able to repair this.

This is a very attractive purse, nice color and nice quality.
