Vintage 1950s Black Taffeta Formal Party Dress

Description: This is a vintage 50s era party dress with matching shoulder wrap. The dress is made with spaghetti straps and has a pleated, crossed bodice. It is made with a full circle skirt and would benefit from the use of a crinoline, as posed in the photos, but no crinoline is included with the dress. The skirt has a black sequin floral motif applied in three spots towards the bottom. The waist is delineated by a band and the skirt also has banding through its middle, applied in an irregular line. The dress does up with a metal zipper at the side.

Sizing: No size is indicated, but the dress should fit a small medium size - please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Bust: 34”-35” around

Waist: 25” around

Hips: Full

Length: 44”

Condition:

The dress is in very good condition with the exception of just a slight bit of sheen to the bodice due to pressing, more pronounced in the photos due to lighting. Otherwise, the dress is in very good condition with no other wear, tear, staining or odors.

This is a wonderful 50s period party dress - great for a formal.....
