Vintage 40s Pink Silk Charmeuse Nightgown Nightie with Matching Bed Jacket Large

The nightgown is in very good condition, appears to have been worn rarely. There are a couple of teeny very pale marks on the flower appliques on the silk chiffon, you really have to look for these as they are not easy to see. There are also two pin head sized light brown marks on the back of the skirt. There is also a small light brown marking on the interior near the chiffon of the bodice on the right hand side, it shows ever so slightly on the outside and looks more like a water marking on the outside.

The bed jacket is trimmed with ecru chantilly lace. It has a bell sleeve. There are small silk shoulder pads. It also has fine shirring and pin tucking as well. There are some slight light brown markings on the left sleeve near the shoulder area.

These are both large sized as you can see by the very loose fit on my mannequin.

Please rely on the following measurements for fit and this should flow on the body, so your own measurements should be slightly smaller than those given for the garment.

These were part of a wedding trousseau. This is one of the finest lingerie sets I have run across in collecting vintage for the past 30 years and it is also large sized which is not easy to come by.

Both these items speak of high quality and are beautiful examples of the very elegant lingerie from the 1940s!
