This is a 50s era house dress, part of a lot of old store stock that I acquired some 10 years ago. The dress is made of a lightweight cotton fabric that is printed with pink roses and other pink flowers. It is made with cap sleeves and a rounded collar that is trimmed in white lace. The dress has two ties - I was unsure if the ties do up at the front or the back, so I’ve shown it both ways. The front is completely open, but does up with 6 plastic buttons up the front. There is a patch pocket posed at either side. The dress still has its original hang tag.
Label: Styled by Kay Evans
Hang Tag: A CHM Fabric
Color: Navy blue with a fine vertical striping
Material: Cotton, as indicated on the hang tag
Sizing: Size 10 is indicated, but this is a vintage size, so please rely on the following measurements for fit, taking into consideration the style of the garment:
Shoulders: 23” across the shoulders, including the cap sleeves
Bust: 42” around, taken under the arms, meant to fit loosely
Waist: 37” around, uncinched, but meant to be cinched with the ties
Hips: 40”/42"” around, should fall loosely
Overall length: 46”, measured flat
It is in like-new condition with no wear, tear, holes, stains or odors as the dress was never used and well stored over the years.
