Label: No label. Milliner made
Description: This is a 60s era hat made with a round "pouf" shaped crown and medium wide brim. The hat is made of synthetic organza that is pleated on the crown to make it look almost like a turbine. The brim is made of synthetic "horsehair" stitched in concentric rows. The interior is finished in stiff tulle and the crown is decorated at its base with black ribbon. The opening is finished in black grosgrain ribbon that measures 20 1/2" around, which normally would be a size 6 5/8-6 3/4, but this hat is supposed to sit on top of the head, so it should accommodate a slightly larger sized head. The hat is in good condition with the exception of two places where the stitching between two of the concentric rows on the brim has come undone - someone with a bit of skill with a needle and thread could easily stitch this up.
This is a sophisticated 60s era hat that would be good for a dignified occasion......
