Vintage 30s Satin Pajamas Set // 1930s Lounging Pyjamas with Robe Frenchmaide by Kassab Ladies Size Small

Description: This is a rarely seen pair of satin lounging pajamas with dressing gown/robe. The pajamas consists of wide leg bottoms in brown satin and a steel blue satin top with brown collar and cuffs. The top has four brown satin covered buttons and closes with two snaps located behind the buttons - it cinches at the waist with a blue satin belt. The robe has a wide collar with decorative stitching and notched lapels. It cinches at the waist with a matching blue satin sash belt. The lapel can attach at the neck or it can be worn with an open neck (see photo)

Material: Satin

Sizing: No size is indicated, but this should fit a small size. Please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Pajama Top:

Shoulders: 14" across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam

Sleeves: 24 1/2" long from shoulder seam

Sleeve inseam: 18"

Bust: 38" around, taken under the arms, but should not fit tightly

Waist: 33" around, uncinched

Overall length: 23 1/2", measured flat

Pajama Bottom:

Waist: 24" around. This is quite tiny, however, there is an extension to the waistband, so that the snaps could be moved to accommodate 26"-27". There would be a gap to the side closure, however, that you would have to gusset somehow.

Length: 38"

Leg Inseam: 24". Note that this is shorter than it appears in the photos due to camera angle. I think that they may have been taken up as there is a 2 1/2" hem - it would be problematic to lengthen them as a mark may be left at the sew line.

Robe:

Shoulders: 17" across from shoulder seam to shoulder seam

Sleeves: 23" long from shoulder seam

Sleeve inseam: 17 1/2"

Bust: 40" around, taken under the arms, but should not fit tightly

Waist: 37" around, uncinched

Overall length: 48", measured flat

Condition:

The pajamas are in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odors - they look like they saw little, if any, use. The robe, however, has some surface scuffing and a few light marks/stains at the lower left front of the robe. The marks may come out with a professional dry cleaning, but the scuffing will remain, although it isn't very pronounced. A little bit of damage should be tolerated with a set of this type and age.

1930s pajama sets like this are very hard to come by - this set is especially nice with the two contrasting colors......fabulous 30s loungewear!
