This is a sweet 1960's cocktail dress in a beautiful cream polished cotton (it feels like raw silk) with painterly pink, lavender and gray roses. It has sophisticated, sculptural dressmaker's details, like bust enhancing arched princess seams, self fabric piping waist line, and gorgeous diagonal box pleats below the waist that emphasize an hourglass profile. It has a scoop neck and elbow length sleeves. It closes in the back with a metal zipper.
The only label is a "Lot 102, size 9" tag.
In excellent, clean condition, with just a couple of open stitches at the back of the waist on the left side of the zipper. Also it appears this dress has been shortened, and the hem was cut so it can not be let down again. The original style from this era would have been knee length. It's adorable, though, at the shorter length it is now, and it makes it a very alluring wiggle dress.
It is a size Small. The bust is 34 inches, the waist is 24, the hips are 38. The shoulders are 14 inches, the sleeves are 13.5. The bodice length is 16 inches and the total length is 34 inches.
