This is groovy late 1960s vintage shift dress by "Mr Dino"! Mr Dino was actually the label for designer Max Cohen who was a contemporary of Emilio Pucci and who invented his own machine to silkscreen his designs onto fabric. His garments became collectible because they were exciting designs made of fluid knit jersey in modern prints that did not wrinkle and traveled well.
This signature print dress is black with wide bands of white, pink and blue flower trim on the sleeves, neckline, and above the hem. It's simple yet classy style is both metropolitan and mod. The fabric is Winter weight and feels like a double knit polyester jersey. It closes with a nylon zipper in the back. The labels say "Mr Dino, New York, Paris, Florence." and "Made Expressly for The Ladies Shop, Louis Kaplan, New York."
It is in excellent clean condition.
Tagged a vintage size 12, we would call this a modern medium. The bust measures 36 inches, the waist is 36, hips are 36, shoulders are 14.5, sleeves are 18, length is 39.5 inches.
