1920s Deco Red Glass and Paste Stones Brooch

This is such a pretty brooch, it has a large faceted radiant-cut piece of ruby red glass, prong-set in the center, which really captures the light due to its unique shape. Like an emerald cut but with points at either long end. It is surrounded by 8 paste stones, 2 in light aquamarine blue, 2 in citrine yellow, and 4 ruby red.

The ornate metal frame is a base metal with a brass coloring but a matte surface. The back has a long pin stem and a non-locking c clasp. It dates to the 1920s, and is most likely Czech.

It is in good condition with natural age patina, and it should be mentioned there is a bit of a gap around the center stone in the prong setting. No prongs are missing but the opening for the stone is a little larger than the stone itself, it is in original condition and was most certainly made this way. The brooch is 2 inches wide.
