Royal Bayreuth Rooster String Holder, Hard to Find!
Founded in 1794 in Tettau, Germany, Royal Bayreuth is the oldest privately owned Bavarian porcelain producer still in existence, with their delightful assortment of novelty figural items the most highly prized by collectors.
This wonderful and hard to find Royal Bayreuth Rooster string holder is in excellent condition, with what appears to be a small restoration to the bottom edge, however, when tested with acetone no color was removed, so it may be a factory correction. Free from all other chipping or cracking, with bright, vivid colors intact.
Marked with blue "2B" mark used circa 1900.
