Wallendorf Porcelain Figurine, “Boy With Fawn”, c 1960’s

A marvelous porcelain figurine of a "Putto" or young boy with a Fawn, designed by Kurt Steiner in the 1920's and produced by Wallendorf circa 1960's. Porcelain production began in the municipality of Wallendorf, Thuringia in 1763 and operated under numerous restructurings, including its 1953 nationalization under the East German government, until 2008.

This captivating Wallendorf figurine features an adorable blue-eyed boy tempting a young fawn with a leaf.

Exquisitely executed and detailed, finished in bisque porcelain with glazed accenting, this Wallendorf figurine is in mint condition, free from chipping, cracking or repairs.

Marked at the base with Wallendorf's crown "W 1764" mark, impressed shape #1347 and "KS".

H 6.25", W 3.25", L 4.75".
